Raging Wolf Spirit

Deep in the night
a lone wolf cries
howling out his mournful tune
his family and home gone
lost and alone he wanders
no place for warmth
heart and soul gone, destroyed
a beast without conscience
no fear makes him dangerous
where once he hunted meals
praying on the sick or weak
cleansing the flocks and herds
keeping the whole strong and healthy
now he challenges any
who dare stand in his path
raging bloody battles
only fuel the fire within
as a broken earthreal spirit
he haunts a land once protected
until the earth claims him
and his body returns to dust.

Take courage, prepare;
Look, but do not judge-
'Tis not thy place.
See where to grow;
Careful go slow.
Sorrow weighs down heavily,
and the burden hard.
You carry so much
give it time - steadily
Love and patience; care
Reach deep inside to your soul
behind all those walls
and carefully lay bare
all those things in life
which bring on despair; grief
give them up; causes of pain
let the lord of all creation
Rule and reign thy heart,
wipe away all your tears,
and silence all your fears.

Cry Out Loud

I've talked to hundreds through the years
I've seen the joy and felt the tears
I sit alone within a crowd,
And watch the people cry out loud
I wonder why no one hears,
And why the laughter hides the tears.
For people have a common need,
That lies beneath the well-groomed greed.
We're all afraid to let it show,
For if we do we all will know,
That deep inside we're all the same,
We have the hope, we feel the pain
So next time you're feeling low,
And you believe that no one knows,
Remember me, out in a crowd,
I hear the people cry out loud.

Seekers of signs
